The stacks of Duncansby are spectacular rock formations off the eastern cliffs of Duncansby Head.

They can be seen from the cliff top of the headland (see map below) by following a short walk from the lighthouse heading south.
​
Puffins, eider duck, skuas, peregrines and more can be see from the path, nesting or feeding around the cliffs and the stacks themselves.
​
The winds are often very strong, so take care along the cliff edge. We strongly advise walking boots / wellies as it can be boggy, particularly when wet.
